Are You A Website Owner? Check Your Contact Forms

FYI-Are you a website owner? One thing you should do for yourself on a regular basis, is check to make sure your contact forms are working.  Do yourself a favor and check your contact forms and email yourself to test every 2 weeks.  Sounds silly?  I don’t think so.  Too many times have I sent emails to website owners to only have the email bounce back..sad but true!

Updates or a change can have an impact on your contact form’s functionality but even worse your contact form may be calling your potential customers or contacts spam.

Sounds ridiculous but had 7 emails bounce back from people’s business websites. All of them were from their own web address. Regardless of whether you have a web master or you are a do it yourselfer you should follow-up and check up on this. Chances are I was called spam or the contact form is not working properly.

Most people love using their own dot.com email but when I send attachments I do not.  Test your contact forms or you could be missing conversations and opportunities!

Can You Find Your Facebook Business Page – If You Can’t How Do You Expect Consumers To?

The majority of the time I have online for myself you will find me on Facebook. I seem to generate business right from there and have the ability to connect with friends, peers and clients all in one spot. My business page is junk and in truth I really don’t care for it. I have a great name, I’m very lucky. I feed my Activerain feed to it. I don’t post too much there..its everything a business page should not be!

As a real estate agent I think they are important. So important that they should be easily found. One thing I noticed is there is the ability to connect your Facebook business page directly to your profile. I don’t see many posts about how to do it and am surprised many real estate agents | businesses do not do this.

I won’t add any fancy graphics to this its really very simple. I have shared this secret with many people.

If you go to the top of your profile page you’ll see where you work right? Well go in and edit your information and fire yourself..it’s a joke…simply delete your place of employment.

Once you have deleted where you work go back to it and add a new employer, instead of typing your company name, type the name of your Facebook business page. It will surface. Make sure and use the exact name of your Facebook business page when typing into the employment block.

Once you see it, click on it and you will have officially connected your business page to your profile.

Some might disagree with me, why? They do not want to connect their profile page with their business page which really doesn’t make sense. I also noticed that many agents place an additional ink on their profile where their work or real estate website is. Usually there is a link to their facebook business page or other social media sites they participate in.

House For Sale-Three Years Later

Update House For Sale-Three Years Later

As I was leaving this morning for work I noticed the house on the corner had a new for sale sign up.  This would make listing agent number three.

Three different companies had taken that over priced listing. It’s been a year and a half and still no sale!

Did the seller really believe that if they changed the real estate sign their property would have a better shot at selling?

Do you think these agents really believe they had a shot at selling it with this property listed at 2004′s prices?

Are people so desperate for business that they would do this to a seller 3 different times?

The point of the post really isn’t the post itself..its to point out this darn house has continually stayed on the market with very brief periods of being off the market..more than likely in search of another agent!

I lost track of the agents who have listed this house but I believe it is now real estate company #7.

A quick real estate training tip and reminder:

There is a price for everything!  There is a reason why this house has never sold!    It will sell if the price is right and easy to show and don’t forget to refresh the photos and information in your mls, your website,  flyers and brochures.

Sometimes all it takes is a tiny bit of magic..dusting off an old listing giving it new appeal so when the buyer comes along…to them it will feel like home!

Not sure why this house has not sold but I know one thing…if you cannot sell it…don’t!

Don’t be REALTOR #8 unless you mean business!
